Petrobras (2023 - Present): Diagnostic tools
The Oil and Gas sector relies heavily on rotating machinery such as compressors, pumps, and turbines. Compressors and pumps are primarily used for fluid transport and artificial lift processes, while turbines are employed for power generation. Components within these systems are inevitably subject to malfunctions or failures over their operational lifespan, which can significantly alter their dynamic response and pose serious environmental risks. In this context, diagnostics and prognostics of machinery and structures are crucial for meeting the demands of rotating machinery users, with vibration monitoring being widely adopted to assess the operational state of such equipment. However, the effectiveness of this approach is highly dependent on model accuracy. Therefore, the development of robust and representative models for each component of the rotating system is crucial, aligning with the emerging demands of Industry 4.0, particularly in the context of Digital Twin modeling and Smart Machines.
Evolv (2023 - Present): Data analysis applied to rotating machines
Development of more efficient strategies for the monitoring of rotating machinery, capable of addressing the wide variety of machine types and operating conditions. This approach represents a significant scientific advancement in the field of condition monitoring for this class of equipment.
